How to use:
Verb (casual) + 以上に
Noun + 以上に
な-adjective + 以上に
以上の + Noun
Example sentences:
1. わたしたちは想像以上に強靭なのである。
watashitachi wa souzou ijou ni kyoujin na no de aru.
We are stronger than we think.
2. 人間は自分が思っている以上に忍耐強いものだ。
ningen wa jibun ga omotte iru ijou ni nintai zuyoi mono da.
I know we can stand more than we think we can.
3. 不眠症について悩むことは、不眠症そのもの以上に害がある。
fuminshou ni tsuite nayamu koto wa, fuminshou sono mono ijou ni gai ga aru.
Worrying about insomnia will hurt you far more than insomnia.
4. 必要以上にたくさんのお金を使わないでください。
hitsuyou ijou ni takusan no okane o tsukawanaide kudasai.
Please don’t use more money than you need.

kono gijutsu wa anata ga omotte iru ijou ni chuumoku sarete iru.
