Explain: Describes an event after it happened, but the event did not change and the situation remained the same.

Example sentences:
1. 彼は卒業して日本を出ていったきり、もう5年も帰ってこない。
kare wa sotsugyō shite Nihon o dete itta kiri, mō 5-nen mo kaettekonai.
After graduating, he left Japan and hasn’t come back for five years.
2. あの方とは一度お会いしたきり(で)、その後、会っていません
ano hō to wa ichido o ai shita kiri (de), sonogo,-kai tte imasen
I met that person once, but I haven’t seen him since
3. 兄が朝出かけたっきりまだ帰ってこない。
ani ga asa dekaketakkiri mada kaette konai.
My big brother hasn’t returned since he went out this morning.
